SHAWNEE TOWNSHIP — Police officials were seeking the public’s help in finding a woman who robbed a bank Tuesday at closing time.
A white woman, about 5 foot 7, possibly in her 40s, wearing a dark blue scarf and sunglasses to cover her face, entered the Union Bank at 701 Shawnee Road at 4:59 p.m. Tuesday. She told a teller she had a weapon but did not display it and asked for money, said Chief Mike Keith of the Shawnee Township Police Department.
The woman escaped with an undisclosed amount of cash. She was last seen walking north from the bank, Keith said.
The woman also may be the same person who robbed several banks in Columbus and Dublin. She matched the description, and that robber arrived at closing time, Keith said.
No one was injured in the robbery, Keith said.
Anyone with information about the incident should call the Shawnee Township Police Department at 419-227-1115.
