A Lima minister arrested by police officers from the Dayton Police Department on Friday during a prostitution sting is due in court today.
John Perkins, 60, was bailed out of Montgomery County Jail early Saturday, hours after Dayton police officers arrested him in a solicitation sting. He had not been officially charged, but was expected to be arraigned this afternoon, according to a spokeswoman with the Dayton Municipal Court.
Perkins, pastor at First Church of the Nazarene, was arrested Friday at a Dayton Mariott by Dayton vice officers. According to investigators, he answered a fake Internet ad, texted then phoned an undercover officer and agreed to meet the woman at the hotel for sex in exchange for $100.
