CELINA -- Three children ranging in age from 8 to 15 were arrested this week following a fire late Monday at the former Grand Slam Facility.
Celina firefighters were called to the facility at Grand Lake Road and Wayne Street on Monday on a fire. They found someone had entered through a window to the building. Witnesses said they say they saw three people running from the building, Celina Police Department officials reported.
Investigators brought in a police dog that led officers to the Meadowview Apartment Complex, three blocks north of the fire scene, police officials reported.
After searching the complex, three children were located. Physical evidence and witness statements connect the children to the fire, police officials reported.
