Fire damages Shawnee Township home

SHAWNEE TOWNSHIP — Damage is listed at $50,000 to a vacant house that caught fire at 2:38 a.m. Sunday at 1930 Rose Ave.

When Shawnee Township firefighters arrived, they found fire coming from a breezeway connecting the house with a garage.

No one was hurt.

The Cridersville Fire Department helped fight the fire.

The cause remains under investigation.

The Allen County Auditor’s Office indicates the home is owned by Mercedes Mosser and is valued at $65,800.
