You may have noticed a “for sale” sign on The Lima News’ offices on Elida Road. Rest assured, the region’s authority on local news and sports is not closing; it’s just planning to relocate.
As The Lima News announced in June, Lima’s 36-year-old printing press broke during production. The newspaper moved its printing to Fort Wayne, which now produces your morning newspaper.
The Lima News continues to run its advertising, news-gathering and delivery operations in Lima, but it needs considerably less space for that. That’s why the Elida Road facility, where the newspaper moved in 1995, is now for sale.
Once the Elida Road location sells, the newspaper’s offices will relocate to a new location in Lima, in a spot yet to be finalized.
Anyone interested in purchasing the Elida Road location can call Greg Butcher of Superior Plus Realtors at 419-236-7357.
