In its 19th annual salary review project, The Lima News gathered and compiled the top salaries for various government entities in Allen, Auglaize, Putnam and Van Wert counties.

Each general election, The Lima News provides this section profiling the candidates and issues. The Lima News sent questionnaires to every candidate in Allen, Auglaize, Hardin, Putnam and Van Wert counties for this election section. Candidates had the opportunity to give biographical information and discuss major issues in their races. Candidates also had an option to submit a photograph. Only names and residences identify candidates who did not return a questionnaire.

LimaCharitable Italian American Organization has selected its 2011 scholarship recipients.The $1,000 scholarships will be presented at the CIAO scholarship dinner at 6 p.m. today at St. Gerard Catholic Church Parish Hall at 240 W. Robb Ave. Winners along with their parents and guidance counselors are invited to the dinner.
