NEWS OF THE DAY: A report by Sports Illustrated that Ravens linebacker Ray Lewis sought help from a company that makes deer-antler spray to speed his recovery from a torn right triceps. The company says the substance contains a byproduct of human growth hormone (a banned substance). Lewis dismissed the report as "stupidity."

QUOTE THE RAVENS: "The fans will let you know about it, especially when you have a bad game. But I play real football. Am I a fantasy football star? According to my Twitter, I'm terrible." -- Ravens WR Torrey Smith, who scored eight TDs but had two or fewer catches in half his 16 games.

QUOTE THE 49ERS: "I wanted to be a player, and play for as long as I could, and then coach, and then die." -- Coach Jim Harbaugh when asked about his earliest memories of wanting to be a coach.

SUPER HISTORY: The 49ers won their fifth Super Bowl, 49-26 over San Diego on Jan. 29, 1995.

NEXT TWO SUPER SITES TEMPERATURES: New Orleans (76 degrees, cloudy, rain); New York/New Jersey (43 degrees, humid, rain).

LOOKING AHEAD: Jack and Jackie Harbaugh, parents of Baltimore coach John Harbaugh and San Francisco coach Jim Harbaugh, meet the media on Wednesday.

BRAGGING RIGHTS: "I really do think that I'm the greatest receiver to ever play this game." -- 49ers wide receiver Randy Moss.

TWEET OF THE DAY: "New Orleans...It's damn good to see you!!" -- former Saints linebacker Scott Fujita, upon his return to the Big Easy.

FUN FACTS: The NFL says 5,205 media members have been credentialed for the Super Bowl, and more than 2,000 showed up for media day interview sessions. Those sessions were also open to fans for $25, and paid attendance was 5,479 in the Superdome.

SUPER TALK: "We didn't spend a whole lot of time talking. We did talk a little on the phone last night, which was cool. We were talking about tickets and making sure mom and dad had a hotel room. That was pretty much the conversation, logistics." -- Ravens coach John Harbaugh, on speaking with his brother and 49ers coach, Jim Harbaugh.
