Saturday's prep roundup: St. Marys girls soccer captures district title

ELIDA - Kaysha Dietz scored a goal to lift St. Marys to a 1-0 victory over Bryan in a Division II district final girls soccer match on Saturday. The Roughriders move on to the regional semifinal game at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Lexington.

St. Marys keeper Macy Davis Farrel had a save and the Roughriders had five shots on goal. St. Marys improves to 18-1-1 while Bryan falls to 11-3-6.

LEXINGTON 2, CELINA 0: Lexington eliminated Celina in the Division I district final at Findlay.

Boys Soccer

TOLEDO OTTAWA HILLS 3, BLUFFTON 1: Toledo Ottawa Hills won the Division III district title match at Bowling Green. Ottawa Hills will play Ottoville at 7 p.m. Tuesday.

Volleyball

MARION LOCAL 3, CRESTVIEW 0: Marion Local won a Division IV district title with a 25-18, 25-21, 25-19 win over Crestview at Coldwater. The Flyers (22-3) will play the Tiffin Calvert on Wednesday at Elida. Crestview finishes the season 18-7.

Alyssa Winner had 21 kills for Marion Local, Kaylee Schoefer had 3 aces, Jessica Schwieterman had 13 digs and Shelby Moeller added 15 assists.

TIFFIN CALVERT 3, ADA 1: Ada fell in its Division IV district final match at Findlay 27-25, 25-13, 22-25, 25-19. The Bulldogs finish the season 15-10 while Calvert improves to 19-6.

Holly Weber had 14 kills for Ada, Amanda Fullom was 23-for-23 serving with 12 aces, Morgan Dumbaugh had 4 blocks and 13 digs, Allison Wilson had 13 digs and Nikki Grzybowski had 21 assists.

CELINA 3, TIFFIN COLUMBIAN 0: Celina won the Division II district championship by blanking Tiffin Columbian at Liberty-Benton. Celina will travel to Ontario for a regional semifinal match on Wednesday.

LEIPSIC 3, CAREY 1: Leipsic won a Division IV district crown beating Carey 17-25, 25-13, 25-21, 25-23 at Liberty-Benton. Leipsic travels to the regional semifinals for a match at 6 p.m. Wednesday at Elida.

ST. HENRY 3, LIBERTY CENTER 1: St. Henry defeated Liberty Center 25-13, 25-7, 21-25, 25-11 in a Division III district final at Napoleon. The Redskins will play in the regional semifinal round at 6 p.m. Thursday at Liberty-Benton.
