St. John's, Waynesfield get girls basketball wins

ST. MARYS - Zefiryn Bryan scored 14 points and Victoria Recker had 11 points when Delphos St. John's beat St. Marys 47-36 in a non-league girls basketball game on Monday night.

The win was the fifth in six games this season for the Blue Jays.

St. John's hit 8 of 18 3-point shots in the game, including three each by Becca Saine and Recker. Overall, the Blue Jays shot 48 percent on field goals. Lindsy Reindel had six rebounds.

St. Marys had 13 turnovers and St. John's turned the ball over 11 times. St. Marys had a 21-19 rebounding edge.

Erika Thornsberry had 16 points to lead St. Marys (1-3).

Seneca East 57

ATTICA - Shelby Gilroy's 25 points led the Tigers (4-1) to their victory. Abbey Gray had 11 points and Ivy Horn scored 10.

Tresa Shade had 27 points for Seneca East.
