HARROD — Allen East’s baseball team took both ends of a doubleheader Saturday, beating visiting Cory-Rawson 6-0 and 12-11. Braden Goodwin improved his pitching record to 6-2 as he won both games. In the opener, Tanner Stippich, Erik Neeley, Cole Basham, Travis Wireman and Jake Lawrence each doubled for Allen East (11-7). In the second game, Derek Ketchum and Casey Crow each doubled for the Mustangs.



Kalida 6, Waynesfield-Goshen 5



KALIDA — Down 5-4 heading into the bottom of the seventh, Kalida rallied for two runs and the win. Austin Swift started the seventh with a double and scored on Kyle Kehres’ single. Kehres then stole second and scored on Rob Kleman’s game-winning double. Kyle Vorst was the winning pitcher for Kalida (5-11). Gabe Hennon doubled for Waynesfield-Goshen (3-9).



Columbus Grove 13, Lima Senior 2



COLUMBUS GROVE — Blake Hoffman roped a double, scored three runs and had three RBIs for Grove in the non-league win. Trent Vorst doubled and scored twice for the Bulldogs while Josh Verhoff scored three times. Riley Brubaker was the winning pitcher. For Lima Senior, Aaron Reed went 2-for-3 with an RBI and Khiry Williams had two singles.



Elida 6, Paulding 1



ELIDA — The Bulldogs scored six runs on three hits, two Paulding errors and six walks by pitcher Corbin Edwards. Kyle Hambleton was the winning pitcher, striking out five and walking two for Elida. Treston Gonzales doubled for Paulding and Nickoli Sackinger was 2-for-3 with two RBIs.



Perry knocks off Ada



PERRY TOWNSHIP — Perry swept Ada 5-2 and 8-0 as Commodores pitchers allowed four total hits on the day. Alan Ogle improved his record to 4-1 with the opening win, striking out four and walking seven. In the second game, Andrew Gipson (2-0) struck out six and walked three. R.J. King, Sam Sanders and Seth Ewing each doubled for Perry while Brayden Saulter doubled for Ada.



Parkway Triangular



ROCKFORD — Parkway beat LCC 10-0 and Miller City 5-1 in a home triangular. LCC beat Miller City 10-6.



Jordan Strader and Wyatt Felver each got pitching wins for Parkway. Caine Pontsler singled twice while Austin Adams and Brandon Moorman each doubled against Miller City. Adams and Moorman each doubled twice and singled against LCC. Miller City’s Jackson Lammers doubled and singled twice against Parkway while Hunter Berner doubled. Lammers singled and doubled against LCC while Bernder doubled and Brent Riepenhoff homered.



For LCC, Sam Huffman doubled and singled against Miller City while Jacob Judy had two singles. Jamaal Hairston was the winning pitcher.



Softball



Bath bashes



BATH TOWNSHIP — Bath pounded Fort Recovery 19-0 and 18-1, smacking a total of 31 hits in the doubleheader while their pitchers gave up just two all day.



Kimmy Reynolds (16-1) pitched her fifth perfect game in the opener, striking out 13 in the five-inning game. Heather Miller doubled twice and tripled while Julia Miller and Ellie Dackin each doubled. In the second game, Camille Martin went 2-for-4 and was the winning pitcher, striking out six and walking three while giving up two hits. Heather Miller doubled. On Friday, in a 10-0 win over Kenton, Bath’s Jenna Hollar was 4-for-4 with three runs scored and Ellie Dackin hit her first-ever home run.



Shawnee improves to 17-2



SHAWNEE TOWNSHIP — Shawnee rolled past Coldwater in a pair of games, winning 14-4 and 14-4. Shawnee is 17-2 while Coldwater is 6-15.



In the opener, Britt Lauck tripled, doubled and singled for Shawnee, Shelby Lucas singled twice and tripled, Tori Runneals doubled twice and singled, Bekah Rader doubled and singled and Kierstan Courtney doubled. Kay Shick (14-2) struck out five and walked none for the win. Ashley Backs doubled for Coldwater.



In game two, Lauck (3-0) was the winning pitcher, fanning 11 and walking two. She also tripled. Taylor Lucas doubled and singled, Shelby Lucas tripled and singled, Runneals singled twice, Courtney doubled and Lydnsey Roberts doubled.



Columbus Grove 10, Waynesfield-Goshen 0



WAYNESFIELD — Hope Schroeder had two RBIs as Grove rapped nine hits and Bobbi Heckel allowed just two from the circle for the pitching win.



Hardin Northern 1, LCC 0



LIMA — Abby Bame pitched a complete-game, two-hitter and Michaela Curtis had the game winning RBI on a sacrifice bunt. Lea Rowe singled and doubled for Hardin Northern (10-8). Kayla Verhoff had a single and a double for LCC (7-6).



Tennis



Elida 5, Wapakoneta 0



WAPAKONETA — Elida rolled past host Wapakoneta in a WBL match. Ardie Sayoto, Chris Ellison and Bryan Romey each won in singles play for Elida. In doubles, Aric Thompson and Ian Klaus won at No. 1 and Asa Swihart and Jordan Greeley won at No. 2.



Celina 5, Ottawa-Glandorf 0



CELINA — Isaac Elston and Kris LeJeune won at first doubles and Keaton Mohler and Joel Weitz won at second doubles as the Bulldogs improved to 12-3 overall and 8-1 in the WBL. In singles, Alex Seibel, Aaron Seibel and Hagan Kriegel each won.
