CINCINNATI — The ballpark changed, and so did the result.

The Lima Locos came up with four runs in the ninth inning to knock off the Cincinnati Steam 5-4 Sunday at Western Hills High School. Cincinnati defeated the Locos 4-3 Saturday in Lima.

The Steam is 2-2. The Locos are 3-1.

Seth Bancroft’s RBI single in the ninth gave the Locos a 4-3 lead. An error after the single scored another run to make it 5-3.

The Locos started the ninth trailing 3-1.

Locos designated hitter Andrew Dennis hit a two-run home run in the top of the ninth to tie the game at 3. Zack Fields started the rally in the ninth with a walk and came home on the home run.

The Steam scored one in the home ninth to get within 5-4.

The Locos’ Stephen Glaze (Mercer) picked up the win with three innings of relief to close the game. He gave up one hit and one run.

Cincinnati right fielder Josh Ungerbuehler went 3 for 4.

For Lima, Dennis went 2 for 4 with two RBIs. Fields went 1 for 3 with an RBI.

The Locos at are Licking County at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
