PAULDING — Spencerville’s boys basketball team shook off host Paulding in the second half to win 67-55 and claim a share of the Northwest Conference title with LCC.
Spencerville and LCC each had 8-1 conference records. The Bearcats are 13-7 overall while Paulding falls to 16-6, 5-4.
Ben Bowers had 22 points for Spencerville, Derek Goecke added 15 points, Zach Goecke scored 11 points and Devan Cook had 10 points. Lance Foor scored 22 points for Paulding and Neil Roehrig had 12 points.
Delphos St. John’s 79, Parkway 35
ROCKFORD — Delphos St. John’s didn’t mess around at Parkway, sprinting to a victory that gave them a share of the Midwest Athletic Conference championship.
Delphos St. John’s (15-5 overall) shares the MAC title with St. Henry, which beat Coldwater 72-65 after both teams finished the conference slate with 8-1 records. Parkway is 2-19, 0-9.
Curtis Geise led all scorers with 17 points for the Blue Jays. Ryan Koester had 15 points, Seth Bockey had 12 points and Ryan Buescher finished with 10 points. Brant Barna had 8 points for Parkway.
Leipsic 78, Fort Jennings 52
LEIPSIC — Leipsic won the Putnam County League championship outright with the easy victory at home.
Leipsic is 18-4 overall and finishes the PCL 7-0, while Fort Jennings is 6-16 (2-5 PCL).
Austin Brown led all scorers with 24 points and ripped down 10 rebounds for Leipsic, hitting 11-of-14 field goals and 4-of-6 from the free throw line.
Zach Kuhlman added 15 points. Brandon Kohli had 14 points, 9 boards and 3 assists for Fort Jennings while Connor Wallenhorst had 13 points and Nick Von Sossan had 10 points.
Columbus Grove 53, Delphos Jefferson 35
DELPHOS — Will Vorhees scored 12 points to help Grove finish the regular season with an NWC win.
Columbus Grove is 15-7 overall and 6-3 in the conference while Jefferson is 4-16, 2-7. Brady Shafer had 11 points for Grove. Ross Thompson and Trey Smith each scored 11 points for Delphos Jefferson.
Ottawa-Glandorf 44, Van Wert 28
VAN WERT — Ottawa-Glandorf’s defense put the clamps on Van Wert in a Western Buckeye League regular season finale for both teams.
The Titans are 19-3 overall and 7-2 in the WBL while Van Wert is 11-11, 3-6.
Noah Bramlage had 10 points for O-G while both Michael Rosebrock and Caleb Siefker each had 8 points.
Connor Holliday scored 11 points for Van Wert.
Wapakoneta 52, Kenton 41
WAPAKONETA — Wapakoneta outscored Kenton 27-19 in the fourth quarter to grab the WBL victory.
Travis Bertram and Alex Greve each finished with 14 points for Wapakoneta (13-9, 5-4) while Brandon Erb scored 11 points. Noah Furbush had 10 points for Kenton (13-9, 2-7) while Grant Sherman had 8 points.
St. Marys 61, Shawnee 47
ST. MARYS — Garet Fledderjohann scored 17 points as St. Marys finished its WBL schedule with a win over visiting Shawnee.
Austin James hit 4 3-pointers and scored 12 points for St. Marys (8-14, 2-7) and Quinn Zaerr had 12 points. Jay Thomas scored 18 points to lead Shawnee (4-18, 1-8).
Temple Christian 66, Hardin Northern 27
LIMA — Justin Krohler finished with 16 points to pace Temple Christian past visiting Hardin Northern in non-league play. Nine Pioneers scored.
Evan Sutton scored 14 points for Temple Christian (16-6) while Andrew Rhoad had 12 points. Rylie Drumm scored 10 points for Hardin Northern.
Lincolnview 70, Allen East 45
HARROD — Kade Carey scored 20 points to lead the Lancers past the Mustangs in an NWC game. Mark Evans scored 14 points for Lincolnview (9-13, 5-4), Kyle Willimas had 13 points and Justis Dowdy scored 12 points.
Tanner Richardson scored 13 points for Allen East (3-17, 0-9) while Clay Plaugher had 12 points.
Crestview 70, Ada 33
ADA — Damian Helm’s 23 points paced the Knights to the NWC victory. Helm also had 8 rebounds and 2 steals for Crestview (19-3, 7-2) while Tyson Bolenbaugh had 9 points.
Austin Dumbaugh scored 10 points for Ada (6-15, 1-8).
McComb 66, Perry 55
McCOMB — Bruce Hodges lit it up to the tune of 24 points for Perry in the non-league loss. Perry finishes the regular season 7-15 overall. Jared Poling hit three treys and scored 13 points for Perry while Emanuel Luster had 9 points.
Kalida 69, Fairview 39
KALIDA — Kalida made short work of Fairview, running out to a 39-21 lead at half and cruising in the second half. Cody Mathew had 21 points for the Wildcats (9-12) while Devin Kortokrax and Austin Horstman each scored 12 points.
Wayne Trace 55, Ottoville 50
OTTOVILLE — Tyler Roby scored 15 points for Ottoville in the non-league loss. Ryan Honigford added 14 points for the Big Green.
Ottoville made 16-of-38 from the field, hitting 8-of-16 3-pointers.
Miller City 66, Hicksville 40
HICKSVILLE — Miller City outrebounded its host 38-24 en route to the win. Ross Kaufman had 20 points for Miller City (16-6) and Austin Lammers added 16 points.
USV 68, Arcadia 54
ARCADIA — Dylan Hunsicker led the Rams with 19 points. Lane Hurley and Woody Prater each scored 16 points for Upper Scioto Valley (17-4).
St. Henry 72, Coldwater 65
COLDWATER — St. Henry held off MAC rival Coldwater to grab its share of the Midwestern Athletic Conference title with St. John’s. St. Henry made 27-of-46 field goals (58.7 percent) to Coldwater’s 25-of-49 (51 percent). St. Henry was 7-of-14 on 3-pointers.
Ryan Mikesell had 28 points and 9 boards for the Redskins (19-3, 8-1), Alex Post had 17 points and 7 assists and both Kyle Stahl and Jordan Bender had 12 points.
Austin Bruns scored 24 points and had 7 rebounds for Coldwater (9-12, 3-5) and Mitch Schoenherr had 11 points.
Fort Recovery 60, Marion Local 52
FORT RECOVERY — Elijah Kahlig’s 21 points helped Fort Recovery claim the MAC victory. Wade Gelhaus scored 18 points for Fort Recovery (18-4, 5-4). Ryan Bruns scored 11 points for Marion Local (9-12, 1-7).
New Knoxville 61, Minster 51
MINSTER — Jake Allen scored 20 points for New Knoxville (11-10, 4-5) and Issac Kuntz added 19 in the MAC win. Ethan Wolf scored 19 points for Minster (12-10, 3-6) and Devon Poppelman had 16 points.
