DEFIANCE — Ottawa-Glandorf’s boys basketball team began the sectional tournament in impressive fashion, dominating Fairview 100-26 in a Division III final at Defiance.

O-G improves to 20-3 while Fairview finishes their season at 4-20. The Titans will take on Metamora Evergreen at 6:15 p.m. Thursday at Napoleon in the district semifinals. Evergreen beat Liberty Center 65-53 on Friday.

O-G sprinted to a 28-11 first-quarter lead and upped the lead to 46-16 at half. T.J. Metzger scored 23 points for the Titans, Jaylen Von Sosson had 14 points and Jacob Leopold scored 10 points.

Columbus Grove 49 McComb 40

OTTAWA — Columbus Grove made 18-of-35 shots from the field and beat McComb in the Division IV sectional final at Ottawa-Glandorf. Columbus Grove will play Vanlue at 8 p.m. Tuesday at Liberty-Benton.

Will Vorhees scored 21 points for the Bulldogs while Jace Darbyshire finished with 13 points. Derek Rieman had 10 rebounds and 6 points.

Leipsic 82 Cory-Rawson 45

OTTAWA — The Vikings ran out to a 21-9 lead after one quarter and never looked back en route to winning a Division IV sectional final at Ottawa-Glandorf.

Leipsic will face top-seeded Arlington at 6:15 p.m. Tuesday at Liberty-Benton in the district semifinals.

Thirteen Leipsic players scored with Zach Kuhlman leading the way with 18 points. Derek Steffan had 14 points, Austin Brown had 10 rebounds and 7 points and Devin Mangas scored 13 points. Tyler Harris and Grant Risner each scored 14 points for Cory-Rawson.

Edgerton 37, Kalida 34

PAULDING — Edgerton ousted Kalida in a Division IV sectional final at Paulding to advance to next week’s district tournament at Napoleon. Max Nihart led all scorers with 18 points for Edgerton. Austin Horstman had 9 points for Kalida and Cody Matthew scored 7 points.

Vanlue 46, USV 43

KENTON — Vanlue held off Upper Scioto Valley in the Division IV sectional final at Kenton. Dylan Hunsicker scored 12 points for the Rams and Austin Howard netted 10 points.

St. Henry 59 New Knoxville 42

COLDWATER — Kyle Stahl lit it up to the tune of 28 points as St. Henry advanced to take on Crestview at 8 p.m. Tuesday at Elida in the Division IV district semifinals.

Jordan Bender hit four 3-pointers and scored 12 points and Ryan Mikesell had 12 points for the Redskins (21-3). Jake Allen had 14 points for New Knoxville (12-12).

New Bremen 53 Marion Local 45

COLDWATER — Carson Manger and Parker Manger each scored 13 points to lead New Bremen into the district semifinals. New Bremen (18-5) takes on Delphos St. John’s at 6:15 p.m. Tuesday at Elida.

Luke Knapke had 13 points for Marion Local (11-13) and Dustin Rethman had 11 points.
