CONTINENTAL — Abbie Patton struck out 10 and gave up six hits to lead Perry’s softball team past non-league host Continental 10-2 on Wednesday.



Perry improves to 10-5 overall. Patton also tripled, singled and had three runs scored while Halie Johnson doubled, singled and had two runs scored. Alex Quigley singled twice and Mackenna Scott singled twice, homered and had two RBIs for the Pirates (9-5).



Shawnee 13, Ottoville 0



SHAWNEE TOWNSHIP — Shawnee’s Britt Lauck led a 12-hit attack in the five-inning, non-league victory over visiting Ottoville.



Lauck doubled twice, tripled, singled and had six RBIs for the Indians (14-1). Taylor Lucas doubled and had two singles while Shelby Lucas and Claire Dahlke also had two singles apiece. Kay Shick pitched a one-hitter for Shawnee in improving to 12-1.



Minster 13, Wapakoneta 3



WAPAKONETA — Minster banged out 20 hits and won the non-league game. Kayla Richard was the winning pitcher for Minster (10-7). Sara Hosey doubled, singled twice and had four RBIs and Rachel Heckaman was 3-for-5 with three RBIs and three runs scored.



McComb 7, Hardin Northern 4



DOLA — Hardin Northern fell to 9-7 overall and 3-2 in the BVC. Lea Rowe doubled and had two RBIs for the Polar Bears, London Crist had an RBI and a single and Molly Wilson doubled and scored a run.



Tennis



LCC 3, Elida 2



LIMA — The T-birds swept singles play as Alex Swick, Zach Schroeder and Dylan Niese each won to help LCC improve to 8-4 overall. In doubles, the team of Aric Thompson and Ian Klaus won at No. 1 for Elida (5-7) while Asa Swihart and Jordan Greeley won at No. 2.



Shawnee 5, Bellefontaine 0



SHAWNEE TOWNSHIP — Jason Barton, Avinash Rahasekaran and Josh Thomas each won a singles match to help Shawnee claim a non-league win. In doubles, Chris Mart and Rohan Casuhela won at No.1 and Neil Parsa-Simon Wagner won at No. 2.



Baseball



Delphos Jefferson 17, Fort Jennings 1



DELPHOS — The Wildcats jumped out for nine runs in the bottom of the fourth and never looked back. Ross Thompson was 3-for-5 with a double, two runs scored and four RBIs for Jefferson (13-6), Drew Kortokrax homered, doubled, scored three runs and had four RBIs, Zach Kimmett and Jordan Herron doubled also. Austin Jettinghoff got the win. Fort Jennings is 4-10 overall.



Crestview 5, Van Wert 2



CONVOY — Nick Thomas went 3-for-3 with an RBI as Crestview scored five runs in the bottom of the fourth for a non-league victory. Jake Harmon and Damian Helm were both 2-for-3 for the Knights (9-3) while pitcher Venice Roberts got the win. Nick Henry went 2-for-4 at the plate for Van Wert (12-5).



Ottoville 10, Wayne Trace 3



OTTOVILLE — Brandon Boecker and Jarrod Fanning each doubled for Ottoville, which slammed five hits and took advantage of seven Wayne Trace errors. Derek Schimmoeller had two singles and three RBIs for the Big Green (7-4). Joel Beining (2-0) got the win from the pitching mound.



Lincolnview 5, USV 4



McGUFFEY — Nick Leeth went 3-for-4 with an RBI, two runs scored and three stolen bases as Lincolnview held off USV in non-league action. Austin Leeth was the winning pitchers for the Lancers (5-9). Sean Hale doubled and had three RBIs while Balke Watkins doubled.



Kenton 3, Ada 1



ADA — Kenton scored twice in the top of the sixth to get by host Ada in non-league action. Matt Bahr was the winning pitcher, striking out eight, walking none and giving up five hits in the complete game effort. Gabe Sutton went 2-for-2 for Ada and Austin Cobb had an RBI double. Connor English got a tough loss for Ada, giving up no earned runs, fanning three and walking five in seven innings.



Minster 16, New Bremen 3



NEW BREMEN — Minster ran its overall record to 15-1 and 5-0 in the MAC with the six-inning win. Minster had 13 hits as Adam Niemeyer singled twice, doubled and had two RBIs and two runs scored while Andrew Knapke doubled, scored twice and had two RBIs. David Zirkle doubled and singled for New Bremen (5-13, 2-3) while Clay Bertke doubled.
