WAYNESFIELD — The Waynesfield-Goshen boys and Upper Scioto Valley girls track teams each won the Northwest Central Conference Track and Field Meet at Waynesfield-Goshen on Saturday.



Waynesfield-Goshen’s boys scored 172 points for first, followed by Fairbanks (167) and Perry (58). On the girls side, USV scored 120, Waynesfield-Goshen scored 116 and Fairbanks was third with 104.



Upper Scioto Valley’s Brittany Holbrook was the MVP for the girls, she won the 200 dash (26.7), the 100 (13.24) and was second in the high jump (5-2).



The boys co-MVPs were Waynesfield-Goshen’s Elijah O’Leary and Drew Lament. Lament won the pole vault (12-0), was second in the high jump (5-8), third in the 110 hurdles (16.5) and third in the 300 hurdles (44.1). O’Leary won the 3,200 (10:51.43) and the 1,600 (4:45.4).



Baseball



Leipsic 6, McComb 2



LEIPSIC — Leipsic won the Blanchard Valley Conference title outright by beating McComb. Devin Mangas struck out eight and gave up five hits to get the pitching win. Mangas doubled and singled for the Vikings (15-10, 8-1) and Henry Pierce doubled.



Softball



Continental 4 Ottoville 0



CONTINENTAL — Leva Weller pitched a complete-game shutout to help Continental beat Ottoville and claim their sixth-straight Putnam County League championship.



Continental finishes the PCL schedule 6-0 (16-6 overall). Weller didn’t walk a batter, gave up five hits and struck out one. Erica Fitzwater was 2-for-4 with an RBI, Taylor Williamson was 2-for-4 with three stolen bases and Cailah Rickard was 2-for-3 with an RBI for the Pirates.



Wayne Trace drops Jefferson



HAVILAND — Wayne Trace took two games from visiting Delphos Jefferson, 6-0 and 7-0. Taylor Branham pitched both games for Jefferson, striking out 10 batters total and allowing just two earned runs.



Minster 3, Van Wert 1



MINSTER — Minster pitcher Kayla Richard struck out six and gave up two hits in the Minster win. Marissa Conrad was 2-for-3 with a double, Kathy Prenger was 2-for-2 with a double and Regan Hahn singled and had an RBI.
