SPENCERVILLE — After Ottoville’s baseball team tied host Spencerville with two runs in the top of the seventh inning, the Bearcats came up with the winning run in the bottom of the inningfor a 7-6 non-league game.

In the bottom of the seventh, Spencerville’s Jon Long roped a two-out, walk-off single to score Joel Shimp for the game-winner.

Shimp doubled, singled and had two RBIs, Mitchell Youngpeter doubled, singled and had three RBIs and Spencerville moved to 4-10. Brandon Boecher had a two-run homer for Ottoville (5-8).

Delphos St. John’s 6 New Bremen 4

NEW BREMEN — Curtis Geise raised his pitching record to 4-0 in leading DSJ past New Bremen in the MAC game. Geise struck out 10 and walked five from the mound, he also tripled for the Blue Jays (5-11) while T.J. Hoersten doubled. Luke Schwieterman went 2-for-4 for New Bremen (6-14).

Bath 10, Kenton 0

BATH TOWNSHIP — Bath pounded 15 hits and the Wildcats won the WBL game in five innings. Eric Jordan was 2-for-3 with three RBIs, Seth Collins was 2-for-2 with two RBIs and both Cody Schuerman and Colin Gossard had two hits apiece. Taren Sullivan was the winning pitcher, allowing two hits, two walks and striking out seven for Bath (11-9, 4-3).

Shawnee 8, Celina 0

CELINA — Shawnee scored seven in the top of the sixth to blow open a close WBL game. Cory Wilder homered for Shawnee, which finished with 11 hits to Celina’s two. Zach Bailey was the winning pitcher and doubled while William Kleffner and Cody Fullenkamp each doubled.

Ottawa-Glandorf 2, Elida 1

OTTAWA — Tanner Schimmoeller pitched a complete game, allowing no earned runs and three hits for his first win of the season. Tyler Zender doubled and tripled for O-G (9-4, 2-4 WBL), Cody Bockrath singled twice and Jaylen Von Sossan doubled. David Diller doubled for Elida (2-16, 1-5).

Allen East 14, Ada 4

HARROD — Eric Neeley went 3-for-4 with a home run and three RBIs to go with a pitching win, striking out seven and walking four for Allen East in the NWC win. Tyler Baker was 3-for-4 with a double and four RBIs for the Mustangs (9-7, 3-4). Brayden Sauter doubled for Ada.

Waynesfield-Goshen 12 Temple Christian 1

WAYNESFIELD — Taylor Schultz was 3-for-4 with a double and three RBIs for Waynesfield-Goshen in the NWCC win. Garrett Miller struck out 11, gave up three hits and three walks in the pitching win. Luke Turner was 3-for-4 for W-G (3-9), Cole Sackinger was 2-for-4 and Trey Crumrine was 2-for-2.

Tol. Central Catholic 11 Lima Senior 1

TOLEDO — Taylor Mericle doubled for Lima Senior, which mustered two hits to Toledo Central Catholic’s 14 hits. Lima Senior falls to 1-9 overall and 0-9 in the TRAC while TCC is 11-5, 3-3.

Lincolnview 5, Wayne Trace 2

HAVILAND — Jalen Roberts was the winning pitcher, helping Lincolnview improve to 6-10 overall. Nick Leeth delivered a two-run hit and scored a run for the Lancers.

Miller City 11 Pandora-Gilboa 6

PANDORA — Miller City finished with 16 hits and stayed unbeaten in the PCL with the win at P-G. Logan Dukes and Ross Lehman each doubled and singled twice for Miller City (10-4, 5-0), Jack Lammers doubled and singled and both Adam Drummelsmith and Adam Niese had two singles each. Ross Kaufman was the winning pitcher. Reed Hovest doubled twice and singled for the Rockets while Jared Tousley doubled and singled and Dustin Rieman doubled. T.J. Koepplinger singled twice.

Defiance 15, Van Wert 2

VAN WERT — Rob Zeigler struck out seven and walked one as Defiance stayed unbeaten in the WBL. Zeigler went 3-for-4 with a doubled for Defiance (17-1, 5-0) and Austin Hancock doubled twice. Van Wert is 12-8, 3-2.

Coldwater 3, New Knoxville 1

COLDWATER — Senior pitcher Christian Schramm held New Knoxville to just two hits, an unearned run and one walk while striking out nine for the win. Mitch Heyne doubled and singled, Blake Spangler was 3-for-3 with a double and an RBI for Coldwater (16-3, 4-1 MAC). Adam Howe doubled for New Knoxville (6-8).


Allen East 12, Ada 0

HARROD — Kylie Wyss and Erin Conkle each bashed a home run and a double to help Allen East beat Ada in an NWC game. Kaycee Rowe (6-1) got a pitching win, allowing just two hits, and was 3-for-3 with two runs scored and two RBIs and Conkle was 2-for-3 with three runs scored and four RBIs. Ada is 3-12, 1-5 while Allen East is 12-7, 3-4.

Paulding 12 Delphos Jefferson 1

DELPHOS — Kelsey Beck singled, doubled and tripled to help Paulding win the NWC game. Kristen Schilt was the winning pitcher, with five strikeouts, no walks and giving up five hits. Fallon Van Dyke tripled and Taylor Branham had two singles for Jefferson.

Elida 5, Ottawa-Glandorf 4

ELIDA — Micheala Black had two hits, an RBI and was the winning pitcher for Elida in the WBL game. Brett Pauff had two RBIs and Aryanna tripled for the Bulldogs (6-4). O-G is 7-3 overall.

Marion Local 8 Spencerville 5

SPENCERVILLE — Alli Gilroy was 4-for-4 with three RBIs for Spencerville in the non-league loss. Alyssa Mulholland went 3-for-5 with a double and two RBIs, Tori Johnston was 2-for-4 with a double and Alex Shumate was 2-for-4 as the Bearcats fell to 3-9.

Tol. Central Catholic 12 Lima Senior 1

TOLEDO — Toledo Central Catholic rapped 11 hits and improved to 8-10 overall and 6-3 in the Three Rivers Athletic Conference. Amanda Daglio took the loss for Lima Senior (0-12, 0-9).

Coldwater 11 Fort Recovery 1

FORT RECOVERY — Kim Hosbach tripled while Kelsey Koesters, Ali Dues and Brittney Umstead each doubled for Coldwater in the MAC win. Brittany Gillis was the winning pitcher.


Elida 3, Ottawa-Glandorf 2

ELIDA — Aric Thompson and Ian Klaus were first doubles winners while Asa Swihart and Jordan Greeley were second doubles winners for the Bulldogs in the WBL victory. Chris Ellison won at second singles for LCC. Alex Schroeder and Brandon Hempfling won in singles competition for the Titans (10-3, 5-2).

Shawnee 4, Celina 1

SHAWNEE TOWNSHIP — In a battle of WBL unbeaten teams, Jason Barton, Avinash Rajasekaran and Ruthvick Avvari won singles matches for Shawnee to hand Celina its first league loss. In doubles, Shawnee’s Carter Jones and Prudvi Battula won at No. 2. Isaac Elston and Kris Lejeune won at No. 2 for Celina (11-3, 7-1). Shawnee improves to 11-2, 7-0.

St. Marys 5, Elida 0

WAPAKONETA — Cole Brooks, Jason Freewalt and Nick Rohr each won singles matches for St. Marys. In doubles, Kevin Dammeyer and Zac Nelson won at No. 1 and Noah Hartsock teamed with Morgan Fenwick for a win.

LCC 3, Kenton 2

KENTON — Alex Swick, Zach Schroeder and Dylan Niese each won as LCC swept the singles matches. The doubles team of Logan Korzan and Troy Hile won for LCC (9-5) while Austin Elder and Dillan Kitchen won at No. 2 for Kenton (3-10).
