McGUFFEY — Abbie Patton was unstoppable for Perry in Saturday’s Division IV sectional semifinal softball win over USV, 14-1. Perry will face Ridgemont at 5 p.m. Tuesday at USV in the sectional final.



Patton bashed a grand slam, another home run, a single and finished with five RBIs. She was also the winning pitcher, striking out 10 and allowing one hit in the five-inning game to improve to 12-7 on the season. Haley King doubled for Perry while Courtney Trent was 2-for-4.



Allen East 6, Liberty-Benton 4



HARROD — Down 4-3, Allen East’s Kylie Wyss roped a two-run single and Sierra Sizemore drove in Wyss with a single to give the Mustangs a Division III sectional semifinal win. Allen East will play LCC at 5 p.m. Monday at Elida.



Madison Schantz went 2-for-2 with two stolen bases and two runs scored for Allen East (15-8) and pitcher Aubren Davis (8-6) struck out six and walked two.



Bluffton 3, Coldwater 0



COLDWATER — Sami Fruchey pitched a complete game, giving up five hits, one walk and striking out four as the Pirates advanced in the Div. III sectionals. Bluffton will play Kenton at 5 p.m. Wednesday at Elida.



Katie Palte was 2-for-4 with a double for Bluffton (6-13), Taylor Monday doubled and Kyle Barnett singled and had two RBIs. Coldwater finishes the season 5-18.



Columbus Grove 4, Miller City 0



MILLER CITY — Haley Grigsby doubled twice and had two RBIs while Bobbi Heckel earned a pitching win for Columbus Grove in the Div. IV sectional semifinal. Grove will play Continental at 5 p.m. Wednesday. Kara Birkemeier and Micah Stechschulte each doubled for the Bulldogs. Heckel struck out 10 in the shutout.



Ada 10, Waynesfield-Goshen 1



ADA — Ada will take on Hardin Northern at 5 p.m. Monday at USV in the Div. IV sectional final. Kaylee Spangler tripled and singled for Ada, which had six hits and took advantage of five errors. Abbie Vanhorn doubled and singled for Waynesfield-Goshen.



Lincolnview 6, Spencerville 2



LINCOLNVIEW — Jodie Doner and Baylee Neate both doubled for Lincolnview, which finished with 12 hits. Lincolnview will play Crestview at 5 p.m. Tuesday in a Div. IV sectional final. Ashley McClure pitched a complete game for the win, striking out five, walking one and giving up four hits. Julia Thatcher had three hits for the Lancers while Doner had three hits and two stolen bases.



Kalida 4, Pandora-Gilboa 5



KALIDA — Emily Schnipke struck out 15 batters in seven innings of work for Kalida, which will play Patrick Henry at 5 p.m. Tuesday in Div. IV sectional final action Summer Holtkamp was 2-for-3 for Kalida (7-8) and Nicole Recker singled and had two RBIs. Kayla Gibson doubled, scored a run and had an RBI for P-G (4-13).



Findlay 19, Lima Senior 2



BOWLING GREEN — Findlay’s softball team advanced in the Division I sectional at Bowling Green as the Spartans’ season came to an end.



Baseball



Celina 5, Elida 2



ELIDA — Aric Fickert pitched a complete game, striking out nine and walking one, to advance Celina into the Div. II sectional final. Celina will play Shawnee at 5 p.m. Wednesday. Cody Vogel doubled for Celina and Damon Smith was 2-for-3. Jesse Wheeler was 2-for-3 for Elida.



St. Marys 4, Kenton 0



ELIDA — Codie Deaton took the pitching win as St. Marys moves on to play Wapakoneta at 5 p.m. Tuesday in the Div. II sectional final. Tristan Becker doubled for St. Marys and both Austin James and Mason Gross had a single and an RBI. Noah Furbush went 2-for-3 for Kenton.



Ottawa-Glandorf 9, Wayne Trace 0



OTTAWA — Matt Warnecke pitched a complete game, striking out nine and walking one as the Titans advanced in the Div. III sectional at Patrick Henry. O-G will play Liberty-Benton at 5 p.m. Wednesday. Cory Imm doubled for the Titans and Cody Bockrath tripled and had four RBIs.



Fort Jennings 4, Antwerp 2



CRESTVIEW — Kurt Warnecke pitched a complete game, two-hitter to lift Fort Jennings into the Div. IV sectional finals, where they’ll play Crestview at 5 p.m. Tuesday at Crestview. Alex Vetter and Alex Sealts each had an RBI single for Fort Jennings.



Lincolnview 5, Spencerville 4



SPENCERVILLE — After Spencerville tied the game with four runs in the bottom of the fifth, Lincolnview notched a run in the top of the sixth and held on. Lincolnview will play Ottoville at 5 p.m. Wednesday at Crestview. Kyle Williams had two singles and two RBIs and Nick Leeth doubled. John Shimp doubled and had an RBI for Spencerville.



Kalida 5, Cory-Rawson 1



COLUMBUS GROVE — Austin Swift struck out seven, walked four and gave up one hit in the pitching win for Kalida. Kalida moves on to face Columbus Grove in the Div. IV sectional final at Grove. Brent Hovest doubled and tripled for Kalida.



Fremont Ross 10, Lima Senior 2



BOWLING GREEN — Khiry Williams singled twice and had an RBI as Lima Senior fell to 1-15 as Fremont Ross moved ahead in the Div. I sectional tournament at Bowling Green.
