Friday's football roundup: St. Marys holds off O-G

ST. MARYS - The risk was there, and Ottawa-Glandorf took it. Unfortunately for the Titans, there was no reward.

Brent Kuhlman caught a 10-yard touchdown pass from Taylor Kuhlman with just over 2 minutes remaining, and O-G opted for the 2-point conversion. The pass failed, and St. Marys escaped with a 21-20 home win Friday night.

St. Marys had 404 yards of total offense while Ottawa-Glandorf only managed 214.

Jeremy Frey rushed the ball 18 times for 88 yards to lead the Roughriders' ground attack. Taylor Kuhlman led Ottawa-Glandorf with 17 carries for 82 yards.

Delphos Jefferson 49, Crestview 0

CRESTVIEW - Delphos Jefferson did most of their damage on the ground, as the Wildcats carried the ball 41 times for 310 yards while Crestview had 20 rushes for 21 yards.

The Wildcats' Aaron Schuerman had 11 carries for 103 yards and two touchdowns. Teammate Derek Shivley carried the ball five times for 87 yards and a touchdown.

Delphos Jefferson's Josh Miller completed only 3 of 4 passes for 58 yards, but those three completions went for TDs.

Liberty-Benton 55, Leipsic 0

FINDLAY - Aaron Craft had four touchdowns for Liberty-Benton, running for two and passing for another pair. Craft had seven carries for 86 yards and went 17 of 19 for 273 yards through the air.

Indian Lake 55, Greenon 20

INDIAN LAKE - Kaleb Draper went 7 of 9 for 233 yards and three passing touchdowns for Indian Lake. Draper added a 63-yard rushing touchdown to his stats also.

Indian Lake's Scottie McMillen rushed 17 times for 104 yards and a touchdown.

Anna 14, St. Henry 10

ST. HENRY - Anna's Chase Guisinger and Kameron had 14 carries, 64 yards, one touchdown and 12 carries, 56 yards and a touchdown, respectively.

St. Henry's only touchdown came on a 12-yard scramble by Brad Stahl. Stahl had 10 carries for 45 yards.

Pandora-Gilboa 12, Van Buren 0

PANDORA -Sam Maag went 16 of 27 for 163 yards for Pandora-Gilboa. Josh Lee was his favorite target, hauling in nine receptions for 86 yards, including a 10-yard touchdown reception.

Fremont Ross 42, Lima Senior 17

FREMONT - Fremont Ross outgained Lima Senior in virtually every statistical category, with 495 yards of total offense compared to Lima Senior's 153, 361 rushing yards compared to 108, and 134 passing yards compared to 45.

Lima Senior's leading rusher was Chaz Foster with 46 yards on 20 totes. He also had a 75-yard kickoff return for a TD early in the first quarter.

Wapakoneta 21, Van Wert 7

WAPAKONETA - Jake Lambert completed 11 of 16 passes for 150 yards and three scores to lead Wapakoneta in the win. The Redskins held a 21-0 lead entering the final quarter.

Lambert completed passes to Josh Kelly in the first, Drew Erb in the second and on a 59-yarder to Jason Bartlett in the third.

Van Wert got on the board with a 68-yard rush from Conner Massillo. He had nine rushes for 107 yards.

Waynesfield 55, Yellow Springs 23

WAYNESFIELD - A 36-9 edge in the second and third quarters gift wrapped a Northwest Central Conference win for Waynesfield. Jake Spencer had four touchdown rushes during the run.

Spencer also returned the opening kickoff 91 yards for a score.

The Tigers held Yellow Springs to negative 16 yards rushing.

Coldwater 51, Parkway 6

ROCKFORD - Two first quarter touchdown passes from Cory Klenke to Adam Rammel jump-started the Coldwater attack. Klenke completed 4 of 7 passes for 48 yards.

Jacob Pohl led a balanced Coldwater rushing attack with 51 yards. Tony Harlamert added 45 yards on six rushes as eight Cavaliers gained double digits in rushing.

Fairbanks 21, Upper Scioto Valley 20

MILFORD CENTER - Fairbanks scored on two Tyler Smith rushes in the fourth quarter to complete the comeback win.

The Rams had a 20-7 lead on three Rhys Rose TDs; he ran for an 18-yard score, and completed two TD passes. Rose rushed for 94 yards and passed for another 208.

New Bremen 27, Fort Recovery 26

NEW BREMEN - Fort Recovery scored 12 points in the fourth quarter to edge New Bremen in the Midwest Athletic Conference. Greg Kahlig scored on a two-yard rush midway though the quarter, and again on a one-yard push with 27 seconds left.

Kahlig completed 20 of 31 passes for 238 yards and a touchdown. He also rushed for 67 yards on 11 carries.

Perry 61, Marion Catholic 0

PERRY TOWNSHIP - Perry cruised to the win with 488 total yards, and held Marion Catholic to a total of 171. Korey Lane led the Commodores with 307 yards and six touchdowns; he passed the 1,000-yard mark during the game.

Kenton 34, Celina 12

CELINA - Maty Mauk completed 33 of 48 passes for 425 yards and three touchdowns to lead Kenton. Chase Barnes had 15 catches for 243 yards and a pair of scores.

Ada 55, Paulding 15

ADA - Mitchell Faine scored six touchdowns - three rushing, three passing - and Ada piled up 516 total yards. The Bulldogs jumped to a 38-13 lead by halftime.

Ada's attack was quite balanced, with 261 yards coming on the ground and 255 from the passing game. Faine rushed for 109 yards on 15 carries.

Nick Agin had field goals of 33 and 45 yards for the Bulldogs.

Cory-Rawson 35, Hardin Northern 32

DOLA - Cory-Rawson scored three times in the fourth quarter to come from behind and knock out Hardin Northern. Ben Niese scored on runs of 40, 5 and 1 yard. He had 153 yards on 19 carries.

Chad Motter rushed for 170 yards on 25 carries for the Polar Bears.

Minster 14, Versailles 13
