Bath holds off Wapkoneta to go 4-0

WAPAKONETA - Bath's Nicki Hopkins tossed in 21 points to keep the Wildkittens unbeaten with a 53-48 girls basketball victory over Wapakoneta Thursday at Wapakoneta.

Hopkins had three 3-pointers to help the Wildkittens notch the victory. Emily Mauk and Rachel Mauk both scored eight points for Bath.

Bath is 4-0, while Wapakoneta is 4-1.

Bath led 25-20 at the half and 39-34 after three quarters.

 

 

 

Liz DePalma scored 10 points for the T-Birds.

Crestview is 4-0, 1-0 in the Northwest Conference. LCC stands 1-3, 0-1 in the NWC.

 

 

 

Cassie Kauser scored 16 pints, while Jaclyn Carr had 13 and Ashley Myers had 10.

For Bluffton, Sami Harrod scored 17 points.

Paulding outrebounded Bluffton, 34-27.

Paulding closed the game out by making 5-of-6 at the foul line. Bluffton closed to within 53-52 on a 3-pointer by Harrod.

 

 

 

Erika Thornsberry paced St. Marys with 12 points and eight rebounds. Jo Steva had nine points and 13 rebounds.

Chelsea Mathias scored 16 for Elida. Kylie Prince added nien points.

 

 

 

Zefiryn Bryan pumped in 17 points with a 3-pointer. Lindsy Reindel had 16 points. Brittany Miller had eight points and two 3-pointers.

The Blue Jays stand 4-1, 1-0 in the Midwest Athletic Conference. Coldwater is 0-3, 0-1 in the MAC.

Haley Stucke paced the Cavs with nine points.

 

 

 

Kristin Klausing scored 14 points, while Bridget Culp added 11 points.

Sam Fell led Ada with 16 points.

 

 

 

Mikaela Tolbert led Defiance with 13 points.

 

 

 

Rachel Jeffers led the Rams with 23 points.

 

 

 

Arlington is 5-0, while P-G is 1-2.

 

 

 

The Pirates are 4-0. Tinora is 1-2.

 

 

 

Trisha Horstman had nine rebounds for Kalida (4-1).

 

 

 

Taylor Cummons led the Tigers with 20 points.

 

 

 

Brittany Katalenas had 18 points and eight rebounds for the Lancers. Morgan Miller added 10 points.

 

 

 

Hardin Northern outscored Cory-Rawson, 12-2 in the second quarter to take a 19-12 lead.

Cory-Rawson's Gloria Basinger scored 13 points.

Hardin Northern is 2-2. Cory-Rawson is 0-5.

 

 

 

Miller City outrebounded Fairview, 23-21. Miller City hit 44 percent from the field, while Fairview shot 36 percent.

 

 

 

Jackie Dabbelt had 16 points and six rebounds for New Bremen.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Garrett Diltz and Zachary Diltz both won two individual events for Shawnee. Mitch Herold also won two events for Shawnee.

Shawnee posted a victory over LCC.

: Shawnee rolled to a victory over LCC Thursday. McKenzie Courtney, Katie Hoops and Bailey Laban all won two individual events for the Indians.

 

FORT RECOVERY 51, NEW BREMEN 43:

Fort Recovery's Joann Snyder had 17 points and nine rebounds to power the Indians over New Bremen.

 

MILLER CITY 49, FAIRVIEW 45:

Carrie Griggs and Ashley Kohls both scored 12 points to lift Miller City past Fairview.

 

HARDIN NORTHERN 34, CORY-RAWSON 25:

Sam Smith and Sarah Flinn both scored eight points to help Hardin Northern knock off Cory-Rawson at Dola.

 

COLUMBUS GROVE 55, LINCOLNVIEW 40:

Columbus Grove's Erica Glass had 13 points and six rebounds to lift the Bulldogs over Lincolnview. Ashley Birchmeier added 10 points for Columbus Grove. Morgan Kohls had three points, six rebounds and six assists.

 

ANNA 57, JACKSON CENTER 41:

Rebecca Burch scored 18 points to power Anna past Jackson Center.

 

KALIDA 42, ANTWERP 22:

Kalida outscored Antwerp 13-0 in the final quarter to pull away with a victory over Antwerp. Julia Fuerst led Kalida with seven points.

 

CONTINENTAL 57, TINORA 46:

Jessica Brown scored 24 points and Brooke Tegenkamp added 10 to lift Continental past Tinora.

 

ARLINGTON 49, PANDORA-GILBOA 46:

Arlington held off Pandora-Gilboa in a victory at Pandora. Taylor Hermiller scored 15 points and Stephanie Recker scored 13 for the Rockets.

 

WAYNESFIELD 66, USV 60:

Waynesfield's Shelby Gilroy scored 27 points and Brooke Shaw added 14 points in a victory over Upper Scioto Valley.

 

CELINA 52, DEFIANCE 40:

Cenzie Yoder scored 18 points in Celina's victory over Defiance.

 

DELPHOS JEFFERSON 54, ADA 33:

Delphos Jefferson ran out to a 16-8 lead and went on to post a victory at Ada.

 

DELPHOS ST. JOHN'S 50, COLDWATER 33:

Delphos St. John's lifted its record to 4-1 with a victory over Coldwater at Robert Arnzen Gymnasium.

 

ST. MARYS 49, ELIDA 45:

St. Marys needed an extra period to knock off Elida in overtime.

 

PAULDING 54, BLUFFTON 52:

Paulding placed three girls in double figures in a two-point victory over Bluffton.

 

CRESTVIEW 43, LIMA CENTRAL CATHOLIC 23:

Melissa Eickholt tossed in 13 points and Jo Thompson added 11 points to guide Crestview past LCC. Eickholt knocked down three 3-pointers.
