BATH TOWNSHIP – Bath went into Friday night’s game against visitingAllen East missing its leading scorer, Brad Davis, who was out withan ankle injury.

No problem for the Wildcats.

Bath connected on 53 percent (24-of-45) of its shots from the field, including 8-of-20 on three-pointers, as the Wildcats bested the Mustangs by a 67-55 margin.

Logan Rockhold got the Wildcats off to a good start with a nine-pointfirst quarter which included a pair of treys. Rockhold would finish with a game-high 20 points for Bath.

The Mustangs (1-2) consistently pounded the ball inside and trailedonly 14-12 after one quarter before falling behind 33-22 at the half because of some second quarter turn-over problems.

James Richardson then poured in eight third-quarter points for AllenEast to get them back to within 50-43 entering the final period ofplay.

But Bath (2-1) answered with a 15-7 run to start the final quarter andgrabbed a 65-50 lead with less than three minutes to play before theteams played out the game for the final margin of victory.

Bath was led by Rockhold with his 20 points and Nate Heffner chippedin with 14 while Taren Sullivan added 13 for Bath.

Rockhold and Sullivan both connected on three 3-pointers in the game.

"We haven’t been at full strength but we played hard," Bath coach DougDavis said. "We do a good job of sharing the ball and finding the openguy and Heffner gives us a presence on the inside."

James Richardson led the Mustangs attack with 18 points, while TannerRichardson chipped in with 11 points for the Mustangs.

Allen East coach Rick Sherrick was pleased with the effort of his teamagainst a talented Bath squad.

"Turnovers hurt us tonight but we can learn from our mistakes,"Sherrick said. "Our kids played hard and competed against a talented Bath squad that can shoot the ball."

The two teams each pulled down 24 rebounds in the game while Bathcommitted 12 turn- overs to 13 for Allen East.

The Mustangs finished the game shooting 40 percent as they connectedon 21-of-52 from the field.

The Mustangs finished 11-of-12 from the free throw line while Bath wasable to convert on 11-of-15 from the charity stripe.
