Elida junior guard Dakota Mathias was named first team all-Ohio in the all-state teams that were released on Monday.



The Associated Press Division I and Division II teams were released. The teams were put together from the media’s selections for the all-district teams.



Mathias averaged 25.5 points-per-game and was the co-Player of the Year in the district. He was the Western Buckeye League Player of the Year.



The 6-foot-4 Mathias has already had offers from West Virginia, Purdue and a number of Mid-American Conference schools.



Bath’s Taren Sullivan was named third team all-Ohio. He averaged 15.7 points.



Bath coach Doug Davis was among four who were named Ohio Division II Coaches of the Year. The others honored were Joe Petrocelli, Kettering Alter; David Bargar, Chagrin Falls; and Frank Spotleson, Canton South.



The Division II Ohio Players of the Year were Dan Monteroso, St. Clairsville; Luke Kennard, Franklin; and Vitto Brown, Bowling Green. The 6-3 Monteroso averaged 26.5 points. The 6-5 sophomore Kennard averaged 28 points. The 6-8 Brown averaged 23.7 points. He’s headed to Wisconsin.



Rounding out the first team in Division II were Brookhaven’s Randal Clarkson, Alliance Marlington’s Lucas Strouble, Cleveland John Hay’sMaurice O’Field and Vincent Warren’s Evan French.



In Division I, Lima Senior guard Devon Allen was named honorable mention.



The Division I Player of the year was Toledo St. John’s Marc Loving, who is headed to Ohio State. The 6-8 Loving averaged 21.3 points.



The Division I Coaches of the year were Ed Heintschel, Tol. St. John’s; Sean Taylor, Cols. Northland and Ricardo Hill, Cin. Walnut Hills.



Joining Loving on the Division I first team were St. Ignatius’ Francisco Santiago, Uniontown Green’s Dan Fanelly, Walnut Hills’ Isaiah Johnson, Westerville North’s Jack Gibbs, Toledo Whitmer’s Nigel Hayes and Springboro’s Maverick Morgan.
