Roundup: Pandora-Gilboa wins Blanchard Valley Conference divison outright

PANDORA — The host Rockets secured the outright Blanchard Valley Conference Valley Division championship with a 54-12 victory Friday night against Cory-Rawson. P-G finished the season with a 6-2 conference record.

The Rockets head to the postseason 8-2 while the Hornets (2-6 BVC) finished the year 2-8.

Jared Breece had three TD passes, Peyton Traxler ran for a pair of scores and Ryan Lee had a touchdown run for P-G.

Delphos St. John’s 12, Coldwater 7

DELPHOS — All the game’s points were scored in the second quarter as the playoff-bound Blue Jays were able to even their record in the Midwest Athletic Conference (4-4) and regular season (5-5) while Coldwater (6-2 MAC) heads to the postseason with a 7-3 record.

Jared Wurst had both of DSJ’s touchdowns on runs of 3 and 1 yard respectively. Coldwater’s TD came on a 6-yard run by Ben Wenning.

Arlington 12, Leipsic 6, OT

LEIPSIC — The host Vikings (7-3, 5-3 BVC) endangered their chances of making the postseason. Arlington closed out the regular season 5-5 (5-3 BVC)

Clay 20, Lima Senior 7

OREGON — Adrine Mitchell scored Lima Senior’s touchdown on a 1-yard run as the visiting Spartans finished their season 2-5 in the Three Rivers Conference and 4-6 overall while Clay (3-4 TRAC) closed out 2017 5-5. Lima Senior’s Xavier Nichols had 142 yards on 32 carries.

Kenton 49, Bath 0

KENTON — Kenton finished the regular season 5-5 and 5-4 in the WBL. Bath concluded 2017 1-9 (0-9 WBL).

Jaron Sharp had five TD passes and ran for two more scores and Clinton Kitchen had a TD run.

Celina 49, Shawnee 7

SHAWNEE TOWNSHIP — Celina (7-3) closed out its WBL schedule 7-2 while Shawnee (4-6) finished league play 3-6. Brett Schwieterman ran 17 times for 195 yards and two touchdowns and also threw a TD pass to Bransen Miller. Kole Murlin had a pair of TD runs and teammate Kyle Zizleman had 116 yards and a score on 19 carries. Shawnee’s Johnny Caprella had a TD throw to Jayvion Daniels.

Van Wert 48, Defiance 7

DEFIANCE — Van West (5-5) finished with a 4-5 WBL record while Defiance (1-9) ended up 1-8 in the league games.

Elida 17, Ottawa-Glandorf 6

ELIDA — The Bulldogs (8-2, 7-2 WBL) likely clinched a playoff berth with the victory against O-G (3-7, 3-6 WBL).

Isaac McAdams had a touchdown run, Billy Jahnz had an interception return for a score and Noah Adcock connected on a 36-yard field and converted both extra-point kicks for Elida. Jasper Scarberry, who ran 18 times for 103 yards, had a TD run for O-G.

Ada 41, Allen East 0

ADA — The Bulldogs (7-3, 5-2 Northwest Conference) kept their playoff hopes alive with the win against the Mustangs (2-8, 1-6 NWC). Seth Conley threw two touchdown passes to Chase Sumner and another to Aaron Everhart. Everhart, who finished with 116 yards on 10 carries, also had a pair of TD runs and Conley, who had 127 yards on 13 carries, also ran 93 yards for a score.

Bluffton 28, Columbus Grove 27

COLUMBUS GROVE — The visiting Pirates finished their season 4-6 overall and 3-4 in the NWC while the Bulldogs closed their season 2-8 (2-5 NWC).

Dakota Bricker had two TD runs and Kaleb Jefferson had another for Bluffton. The Pirates’ Gavin Conrad returned a fumble for another score. Blake Reynolds had two TD runs and a touchdown pass to Caleb Barrientes, who had four catches for 128 yards. Brady Hauenstein also had a TD run for Grove.

Crestview 36, Paulding 22

CONVOY — The host Knights (6-1 NWC) head to the postseason with a 9-1 record while the Panthers (0-7 NWC) finished their season 1-9.

Upper Scioto Valley 38,

Hardin Northern 12

MCGUFFEY — USV finished its season 4-6 (3-4 Northwest Central Conference) while Hardin Northern ended up 3-7 (2-5 NWCC).

Owen Wetherill broke the Hardin Northern record with 18 touchdown passes this season and teammat Logan Lease broke the school record with 38 catches this season.

Waynesfield-Goshen 40, Ridgemont 8

WAYNESFIELD — The host Tigers end the year 1-9 (1-6 NWCC) while Ridgemont finished 0-10 (0-7 NWCC).

Minster 20, Anna 7

ANNA — The visiting Wildcats (6-4, 4-4 MAC) secured a postseason with the win against playoff-bound Anna (7-3, 5-3).

Fort Recovery 28, St. Henry 16

FORT RECOVERY — The host Indians (6-4, 5-3 MAC) likely secured a playoff spot while diminishing the chances of the Redskins (6-4, 4-4 MAC) making the postseason.

Marion Local 39, Parkway 0

MARIA STEIN — The host Flyers (10-0) head to the playoffs as the MAC champion, finishing 7-0 in conference games.

Versailles 21, New Bremen 6

VERSAILLES — The host Tigers (3-5 MAC) finished the season 4-6 while New Bremen (1-7 MAC) closed out its campaign 3-7.

Indian Lake 14, Benjamin Logan 6

BELLEFONTAINE — The visiting Lakers (7-3) won the Mad River division of Central Buckeye Conference outright at 4-0. Benjamin Logan finished its season at 5-5 (2-2 CBC).
