Electrical training center begins expansion in Lima

LIMA — The Lima Area Electrical Joint Apprenticeship Training Committee has started its expansion process, one which will allow the school to have more classrooms and labs for their growing program.The expansion will be 7,000 feet above ground and 4,500 in the basement, said Jerry Dickrede, training director. Letter: Elida levy seems a waste of good money

The Ohio Department of Education has released letter grades given to public school districts, as reported in The Lima News on Saturday (“Little improvement seen in report cards”). Six of nine school districts in Allen County received grades of A or B. As a resident in the Elida school district I am very unhappy that Elida was not one of them.
