Killer in 1996 murder case appears in court

LIMA — A man who killed a young boy with a hammer and tried to kill his own son appeared via video at a hearing Wednesday to be informed of terms of parole should he ever be released.The hearing was to advise Terry Watson that he would be under supervision for three years should he ever be released from prison. The hearing is required by law.The hearing was held with a link to Chillicothe Correctional Institution where Watson is serving a 15-years-to-life-in-prison sentence on the charges of murder and felonious assault.Watson’s next parole hearing is May 2021. His prison sentence was continued for 10 years in 2011.
