MARIA STEIN — Two familiar stories will begin playing out tonight when the high school football season kicks off.The Marion Local Flyers will be going after their fourth straight state championship under legendary coach Tim Goodwin, who has won seven titles during his 15 years at the school.And once again, one of the assistant coaches will be his father, Bill Goodwin, a member of the Ohio High School Football Coaches Hall of Fame.It’s a father-and-son coaching team that’s enjoyed success like few others. Between them, they have 488 victories in the 54 years they’ve been head coaches.
