1. Indian Lake
With 5,800 acres of lake, fishermen can take a variety of boats out on the water. Once their line is cast, they might reel in bluegill, yellow perch, largemouth bass or, the lakeís main draw, the saugeye.
2. Bresler Reservoir, Lima
Location: Kemp Road, Lima
At 582 acres wide and a deepest point of 44 feet, Bresler Reservoir is one place where the fish are biting. Stocked with walleye, catfish, smallmouth bass, perch and a plethora of bluegill, fisherman will find that from boat or shoreline, their catch will be something to brag about.
3. Grand Lake St. Marys
Location: Auglaize and Mercer counties
Dug by hand in 1845, Grand Lake St. Marys was the largest man made lake at the time. It remains the largest hand dug lake with 13,500 acres of water and 52 miles of shoreline. Fishermen will be pleased with the four boaterís beaches. The lake holds bass, crappie, perch, catfish and walleye, and for those who donít mind the cold, also boasts ice fishing in the winter.
