Letter: School funding woes start with vouchers
I see signs in my neighbors' yards to vote for “our kids” another school levy. We will probably vote for it as the public school systems are always in need of support.
However, all the tax levies in the world will not do much good as long as we keep our school voucher-happy politicians in power. Our local representative is a happy voucher advocate, as is the governor.
Vouchers have their place and should be a viable alternative, but not to the extent where it hurts the public schools.
So as long as you keep the unfriendly politicians in power, the public schools will suffer. Didn't they just try to get rid of the teachers union?
