Difference between Lima, Findlay mayors
One thing that caught my eye in The Lima News annual public payroll study was the $40,000 difference in pay between the mayor of Lima and Findlay (Lima’s David Berger, $116,856; and Findlay’s Lydia Milhalik, $69,500).
Findlay has a downtown section that is busy with open stores and visitors all over downtown. The mayor knows how to run a town. Lima’s downtown is full of empty buildings.
What does that tell you?
It tells me the mayor of Lima is paid about $100,000 more than he’s worth. Look at Lima now, compared to 20 years ago.
No wonder people are leaving. They are smart. Wake up people. We don’t need an overpaid mayor.
