can help Ohio
If you read The Lima News on Sunday you saw a full page ad from AARP. You were asked to write your state representative and tell them to accept the federal governments assistance for Medicaid here in Ohio. I am sure Matt Huffman and Lynn Watchman’s religions ask them to help the poorest of the poor. The tepid excuse for them not to accept the assistance with Medicaid is that it would put the federal government in debt. This has been proven misleading as this governor wants to accept the money now.
If Ohio does not take the money, some other state will. Expanding Medicaid in Ohio will create health-care jobs, increase taxes brought in by the state, and with health insurance the Medicaid recipients will be able to be employed because they can see a doctor and stay healthy. This is our money so bring it back to Ohio and help an estimated 197,000 uninsured Ohioans.
