Continue supporting Elida schools
In 1972, 41 years ago, I first came to Elida from Buffalo, N.Y. I was simply amazed at the public support the Elida schools received from the Elida community.
I remember going to the first football game and thinking this is crazy … my Buffalo graduating class had 700 students and there would only be a handful of folks standing on the sideline watching our athletes play. Not the Elida community, there were hundreds wearing their orange and black while standing and cheering for their Elida Bulldogs.
Then October came and the open house at the elementary. The parking lots were jammed with parents who went to meet and greet their children’s teachers. Basketball season arrived and the field house was totally filled with people supporting their team, The Elida Bulldogs.
This community has been and will always be proud to be a bulldog. Let’s continue that incredible support for Elida schools by voting “yes” on Tuesday for both the renewal and the emergency levies.
