I wonder who the mastermind was behind the Ohio High School Athletic Association's formula of balance for high school sports? To think some people get paid for this is unbelievable. Sports columnist Tom Usher of The Lima News didn't agree with it either. What happens when college or professional teams don't live up to expectations? They get to the bottom of things by changing coaching, changing training and discipline, not by changing districts or divisions. It is also hard to understand why the number of free lunches a school serves was figured into the formula. The number of students is still the best way to determine this.
