No logical reason to act of vandalism

Theft I can understand. I have something you like. You want it. You convince yourself that you deserve it. You cannot afford to buy one like it. You steal mine. I donít agree with your manner of achieving what you want, but I can understand your logic in getting to your goal.

Vandalism I do not understand. You donít want what I have, you just donít want me to have it, so you destroy it. Now neither one of us can enjoy it. There is no logical reason to the act of vandalism. It is pure stupidity.

The destruction of Wapakoneta school bus tires on Friday is an example of that stupidity. If school cancellation was the object, you failed. All you accomplished was to cause extra work for school personnel and cost the taxpayers a few more dollars.

It doesnít take much time to destroy something that it has taken a much longer time to build up. That includes your reputation.

ó Paul F. Janning, Wapakoneta
