A great way to
spend Fatherís Day
On behalf of the Council for the Arts of Greater Lima, I would like to thank the hundreds of people who came out to celebrate Fatherís Day with us at Faurot Park, as well as the people and businesses that made the day possible.
A special thanks goes to John Heaphy of Happy Daz restaurants, who not only came up with the idea of a free city-wide Fatherís Day celebration, but also provided free food for all attendees. Thanks also to Johnís beautiful family and all the other volunteers who took time off from the holiday to help out, and to Tom Ahl, who not only sponsored the Kangaroo Cave Kids Zone so children could play free all afternoon, but stuck around to help serve as well.
Finally, thanks to all the musicians who gave their time to make the day great, and to the City of Limaís Parks and Recreation Department for the use of one of Limaís true gems, the Rotary Pavilion.
You all helped us prove once more that this is a town where great ideas can come to fruition when a just a few good people set their minds to making it so.
ó Bart Mills, Council for the Arts of Greater Lima
