Enforcement needed, not more gun laws
The article written Saturday is misleading about the way firearm sales are done.
Two points in particular. One, all FFL license holders by law have to do background checks. Two, persons who are convicted of misdemeanor domestic violence can not purchase a firearm under federal law.
All felons are prohibited from purchasing firearms by federal law. The rules to purchase a firearm prohibit the sale of said firearm to any person from any state that has laws that are more restrictive than Ohio law on purchasing a firearm.
The Law Center to prevent gun violence should direct itís energy in the right direction, and that is to get people who use firearms unlawfully off the streets. Making new laws will not deter these criminals, this is why they are known as outlaws.
