Yes, where do we buy a ticket? Everytime someone does a feasibility study on rail service through Lima, we get excited, only to have our hopes dashed. We are rail fans, we have taken trips across the U.S., east, west, north and south, both sleeper and coach. We love to go to Chicago, but hate the trip by car to Toledo in the middle of the night both ways! We would make the trip at least two times a year. I think once people would try it, they would use it more. Columbus, Fort Wayne, Chicago shopping, sporting events or just sight seeing. Friends from Europe don’t understand why we don’t have more rail travel. My wife and I have talked about no frills rail travel, vending machines for soft drinks, coffee, even sandwiches. We do this other places, or even have McDonald’s Dining Cars, we eat lunch there when we’re driving. Don’t get me wrong, we enjoy the dining cars on our major trips. We have even talked about a no frills route between Detroit and Cincinnati Fridays through Sundays for sports and shopping! Of course, this route would run through Lima.
