Apollo plays major role

in job development

Apollo Career Center is a vital asset throughout the region, which provides superb training and education for our students. As our community tries to keep pace with the workforce needs of our industries and businesses, Apollo Career Center has been able to work collaboratively with the businesses in our community to develop an industry-credentialed curriculum to meet our communityís current and future workforce development needs.

Apollo provides the education and training needed in a variety of areas to provide a workforce ready community. They provide quality education to become a welder, fire-fighter, nurse, carpenter, policeman, florist, EMT personnel, landscaper, chef, truck driver and much more.

The Apollo Career Centerís Board and staff have been very frugal with the funding that they have received. The current facility was built in 1976. They have not asked tax payers for any additional funding since 1981. The proposed tax levy will allow the Apollo Career Center to renovate, modernize and expand the existing buildings and facilities, as well as purchase career-technical equipment, in order to meet the needs of the 21st century.

The average cost to the tax payers is approximately $2.86 per month for a $100,000 home. This equates to a couple of cups of coffee or beverages per month.

Letís work together to help Apollo Career Center Change the Future and Build on our Regional Economic Future!
