Many played role in successful pasta dinner
President PeeThe Charitable Italian American Organization would like to thank the community for again supporting our annual pasta dinner. It would be impossible to recognize everyone who made our dinner a success, but I would like to mention a few starting with the Casa Lu Al staff, Rob and Beth Rigalli, Tony Ciminillo and the other Italian “chefs” who made sure the delicious food (700 pounds of pasta) was available. Thanks also to the members of CIAO who donated the delicious baked goods for sale.
Tina Moenter and her VMCCC staff, Sammie Zimmerman, Tim Deardorff, LaTavia Liles-Gutierrez and Ashley Stephens were also extremely helpful, as were the Apollo Restaurant Management techs, LCC student volunteers, St. Rita’s LACP, Allied Waste, Allen County Sheriff Sam Crish and his staff and the City of Lima.
Thanks also to The Lima News, Your Hometown Stations, WTLW, Maverick Media, Time Warner, Clear Channel, The Lima Mall, New Car Dealers Association and The Cheap Sign Company for helping to tell our story.
I would especially like to thank the corporate sponsors who make it possible for CIAO to have this event. Profits go back to the community in many ways including $1000 scholarships awarded to Allen County high school seniors.
On a personal note, since this was my 10th and final year to chair the pasta dinner, I would like to humbly thank the many sponsors, organizations, CIAO members and other volunteers and the community as a whole who have made our major fund-raising effort such a success all these years. Gob Bless you all. It has been an honor to work with all of you. Grazie
