This is in response to the column of Jan. 3 by Kathleen Parker ("A resolution for all times"). Specifically, I call your attention to the section having to do with fundamentalism. Parker has indicated that she has experienced a narrow-mindedness in the views expressed by fundamentalists. That is her opinion, and she certainly is entitled to it.Being a born-again Christian, I am well aware of the love God has for us. In the same way, he expects us to love one another and to always speak the truth in love. But, truth is truth. In the New Testament book of John, Chapter 14, Jesus says, I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the father except through me.We are not stating our own opinions but standing on the unchanging word of God.
