Help Lima schools
renew existing levy
No new money Ė thatís the good news. Judging by the number of districts on the ballot May 7th, I would say the bad news is that schools are still struggling to find the balance between lost state revenue and local tax support. Thatís a broken record to discuss on another day.
Last November was a humbling time for the Lima City Schools when the voters of Lima generously supported the new levy in what I hope was an acknowledgement that the district is doing everything possible to manage costs without losing the child. We will be forever grateful for your belief in Lima.
As the cycle goes, we are back on the ballot May 7th asking voters to renew an existing levy and once again, we ask for your belief and support. Our history in this community is rich and whether our lineage is tied to a South Tiger, a Central Dragon or a Lima Senior Spartan we believe in Lima and want to instill the same pride in our school system as carried by all that have come before.
Spartan Pride is alive and well and in behalf of the 4000 students of the Lima City Schools I thank you now for your support on May 7th.
