Al Scrivner was

great coach, teacher

We as a town are happy to have a new coach at Lima Senior High School to get the football program back to where it used to be — always in contention. Mike Fell has a good record, but we had our own “coach,” Al Scrivner, back in the 1960’s and 1970’s who had an even better record. Coach passed away last Wednesday. He was a great coach and teacher and did everything he could to make LSH a better place to learn and had a great football team with players who loved and respected him. He will be greatly missed.

I hope Mike Fell makes great strides with the team and bring Lima pride back; I do wish him the best.
