Newspaper,

sheriff wrong

I am writing about the front page article from the sheriff of Mercer County. I think The Lima News is just as guilty for racism and prejudice as the sheriff to put this on the front page. Why not put something positive about a person for the headline. If you think you will sell more newspapers, think again.

The person that wrote the article and the sheriff is probably a Republican, but you thought this would make the president look bad. And it only showed the intelligence of the person that wrote the article and the sheriff that made the statement. This makes you not want to buy The Lima News. What kind of role model is he? This is an elected officer saying he is not going to obey the law. Maybe that is why he has so many drugs in his county, everyone just do what they want because he is not trying to stop anyone.

If this had been one of his children in the town of Sandy who got killed or grandchild the person that wrote the article and the sheriff would think twice about what he wrote and said. The president didnít say he was taking every gun you own, just certain types of assault rifles and other guns that shoot a lot of bullets at one time.

Furthermore, when the Second Amendment was written they didnít have these types of weapons. If they did have these types of weapons, I think the Second Amendment might have been written a little different.
