I have been amazed by the generosity and support shown in the Perry Community. About a month ago one of the students in my class had a house fire. We have had so many donations of clothing, toys, gift cards, money, bunk beds, and even a mattress (from Reach Out Ministries) for this family. My heart has been touched by the support of the Perry staff, students and community. The elementary students had a hat day to raise money and even the Elementary Student Council made a donation. I have received donations from students I had many years ago and even girls I coached in volleyball. Many members of our staff reached out to family members and friends, and one staff member even secured donations from members of her church- thank you Cairo United Methodist Church. We are a little family at Perry and we care about each other. It is a pleasure working with such wonderful people. Thank you so much to everyone who! has contributed for our “fire family” and God Bless you all!
