Letter: There are still wonderful people in our community

We were celebrating my wife’s birthday on July 3 and decided to go to the Olive Garden for dinner. When the hostess seated us, she asked if we were celebrating anything special, so we told her. She told us to be sure to tell our server so they could give us a free dessert.

We ordered and had a very good meal with the dessert, and when we asked our server for the bill, he told us it had been taken care of by an anonymous person. It was wonderful for someone to do this, and we want to thank them for their kindness. We plan to pass this wonderful gesture to someone else.
