2400 block of Heathway Lane, Lima — A 19-year-old man reported to Lima Police Department on Thursday that an unknown person stole more than $5,000 in items from his apartment, including an Xbox console, several video games and $1,600 cash. There were other burglaries in the apartment complex where he lives and said he thought the crimes could be connected.

5th Street, Lima — On Friday, a 20-year-old man reported to LPD that a friend may have stolen his recently purchased car. He gave a set of car keys to his friend, and soon after his car went missing. Paperwork to have license plates for the vehicle have not yet gone through.

2311 Elida Road, Lima — On Friday, a Custom Audio employee reported to the Allen County Sheriff’s Office that a person who used to work for the business had stolen merchandise.

200 block of Calumet Avenue, Lima — On Friday, a 26-year-old woman reported to LPD that an ex-boyfriend came to her residence and assaulted her following a phone conversation. She said they hadn’t dated in more than two years, but have since remained friends. She called him a “boy” during a recent phone conversation, which upset him. A 28-year-old female housemate also witnessed the incident.

500 block of North West Street, Lima — On Saturday, a 23-year-old woman reported to LPD that her cell phone was stolen from her purse while at a friend’s house.

3298 Elida Road, Lima — On Feb. 2, Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched to Meijer in reference to a theft where the subject fled on foot.

1100 block of McCullough Street, Lima — An 84-year-old man reported to the Sheriff’s Office that an unknown person stole items from his residence on Friday.
