CALLIE STRIPEGrover HillWe have social workers to help and protect our children. Who do we have to help and protect our furry children? My sister-in-law couldnít find anyone. My sister in law was informed that many short-haired dogs are outside in the cold. This is true, but we assumed they have adequate shelter, food and water. Not for this little girl; they tie her out, she gets wrapped around a tree. At this point it is raining and in the 30s, she canít reach her inadequate shelter and empty food bowls. We lost our beloved dog, Zeek, in August and he was quit the couch potato. Not everyone would let their dog be that couch potato or share supper. That is OK that not everyone treats their dogs the way we do, but please make sure your pet has a house with a floor and some wood shavings to keep her warm. Please make sure she has fresh water at least once a day. Please make sure she gets at least one bowl of food, but two or three would be better.
