The Butterfly Migration Celebration at the Children's Garden on Sept. 11 was a tremendous success, thanks to the support of our corporate sponsors. One hundred two children and their families had the opportunity to enjoy the outdoors while learning about butterflies, their life cycle, their body parts and more. One hundred forty-four living Monarch butterflies were released into the Children's Garden by these engaged and excited children. The Children's Garden is a project of the Allen County Master Gardeners, who rely entirely on donations to maintain the garden and sustain educational programming. This event would not have been possible without the support of Kohl's Department Store and its Associates In Action Team, Orthodontic Associates, Superior Federal Credit Union, Husky Lima Refinery; St. Rita's Medical Center and Don Jenkins Jewelers. The Allen County Master Gardeners appreciate these companies and their employees for helping provide the children of Allen County with a positive learning experience in the great outdoors.
