I am writing in regard to John Heaphy’s letter about the shooting at BW3 (“BW3 remains a good restaurant,” Tuesday). I have been to both establishments, BW3 and Heaphy’s, and enjoy the cuisine at both restaurants. I feel safe in taking my family and friends on a good night out.

I agree with Heaphy. If all the full service restaurants could get donations, I believe a gym or just a place to hang out in our community would benefit these young people. I would be the first to make such a donation.

It is sad that a community as big as ours has to worry about such an event happening again. We need to come together as a community and reach out to our young people as they are the future and the next generation to be adults. With so much unemployment in our area, I am sure any one of these unemployed would like to work at such a gym for our young people.
