On Dec. 30, I took three kittens to be tested for feline leukemia. All three tested negative. A young woman heard me tell the receptionist how I came to acquire these kittens.
When I was paying the bill, I handed over my check card, then saw a hand give the receptionist another card. I told her she really didn’t have to do that. She said, “We can argue for a hour, but I’m paying your bill.” I could tell she meant it so I said OK.
The bill was just over $100, so to say it was a nice gesture is an understatement to say the least. She wouldn’t tell me her name, only that she was an anonymous person who appreciated what I had done.
On my way out, I told the lady at the front desk what had happened. She told me the woman’s name and that she was getting married Jan. 2. So, anonymous woman, thank you again for your generosity. May you and your lucky husband have many years of bliss.
