One positive from
Obama victory
I have to respond to Mr. Hendley’s letter, which states, “Why didn’t the rich people of the USA pay off the debt?” If you were informed, you would know that even if we taxed the rich at 100 percent of their earnings and used it to pay down the debt, it would only contribute a drop in the bucket to our massive debt.
And, if we did, how many of us would continue to be employed by employers? I don’t know any poor people who employ others. I see only one positive thing to President Obama being re-elected, and that is people will finally have to quit blaming President Bush after eight years.
