During the last two wars, we have lost men and property. It's time to do better. The newspapers don't like ethanol, but it's a start. We need all sources of energy: ethanol, oil sands in Canada, oil shale, older oil wells. We need cars that are more efficient. If that isn't enough, let's buy oil from South America and Mexico. But we have to stay away from Europe. It will never get out of debt. This country needs to watch our finances. We need to use wisdom to look into the future.I just couldn't believe this environmental president would kill this sweet deal with Canada for the oil pipeline, our greatest trading partner in the world. What an insult to the people of Canada and the United States.I don't believe The Lima News was right when they said it was a fight between Republicans and Democrats. It was 90 percent environmentalist. Canada has the third-largest supply of oil in the world. Canada would have no trouble selling the oil to someone else. China needs oil. It's time that we wake up! The sooner we get our oil under control here, we can stop losing soldiers in Arab countries.
